Last night The University of London’s Garden Halls scooped a double win at the Property Week Accommodation Awards. The scheme was named both University Halls of Residence of the Year and Halls of Residence (overall) of the Year and was praised by the judges for its “first class all round offering” and “outstanding design”.

Held in Birmingham, the Awards recognise the innovators and trailblazers in a celebration of all of the hard work taking place in the sector over the past year.

Garden Halls was shortlisted alongside four high-calibre institutions, further underlining the strength of our partnership with the University and its position as one of the largest student developments in London. Having worked in partnership with the University of London since 2013, we are proud to have delivered this important project that offers high-quality, modern accommodation combined with exceptional architectural quality.

The Garden Halls redevelopment has helped the University of London to continue its current trajectory, and to grow and develop as one of the most significant academic institutions in the country.

This award is the culmination of a great deal of hard work by countless people across many different organisations and we want to thank all those involved.

Garden Halls has also recently won a Building Award for ‘Offsite Project of the Year’, and a Housing Design Award with ‘Special Mention for Offsite’. It was Highly Commended at the Brick Awards in the Worldwide Category and has been shortlisted in the CUBO Awards, ABB LEAF Awards, NLA Awards, Camden Design Awards, AJ Awards, the London Planning Awards, and the Property Week Student Accommodation Awards.
