UPP Management appoints new Asset Management Director


University Partnerships Programme (UPP), the UK’s leading provider of on-campus residential and academic accommodation infrastructure, has announced the appointment of Babajide Ogunniyi as Asset Management Director 


In the newly-created role, Babajide will be responsible for developing and delivering the management strategy of UPP’s portfolio of assets. He will implement long-term plans to manage UPP’s investments and ensure its accommodation remains attractive to students, in support of the Company’s long-term, bespoke partnerships with 15 world-leading universities. 


Babajide joins UPP from HCP Social Infrastructure where he was Head of Strategic Asset Management. Prior to this, he held the role of Senior Facilities Management Consultant at built asset consultancy EC Harris LLP.

Earlier this year, UPP announced that it had successfully reached financial close on a £140 million deal with the University of ExeterThe deal will see UPP design, build, fund and operate 1,182 high-quality bedrooms on the University’s Streatham Campus. On completion, UPP will operate over 4,000 rooms at the University.  


The deal boosted UPP’s portfolio to over 35,000 rooms in operation or under construction through long-term partnerships with 15 leading UK universities.
