The UPP Foundation is a respected and influential charity in the UK higher
Entirely funded by UPP and an independent legal entity, its aim is to support the sector to increase access and retention, improve student employability, enhance civic universities and develop global citizens.
It issues grants to universities, charities and wider sector organisations and provides a public policy platform for sector leaders, experts and the public to debate the future of higher education.
Examples of its work include staff and student training with leading mental health charity Student Minds, with a follow-up joint report transforming thinking on the issue of metal health in the sector.
The Foundation has also worked with national think-tank the Social Market Foundation on the issue of student retention, delivering a joint report analysing regional variances in drop-out rates and causes, with recommendations for government and universities on how to tackle the issue.
