At UPP, our focus has always been on partnerships. In the previous ten years, we have developed a well-deserved reputation for excellence, acting as a provider of university student residential accommodation through long-term partnership agreements with UK universities.
Each of our university partners has particular circumstances and aims, so we tailor our planning and delivery to match their needs exactly. To achieve this we work seamlessly with both the university and its students, while ensuring our university partner remains the key point of contact and ‘face’ for resident students.
This means responding to both individual circumstances and the changing demands of the higher education sector and its customers. Our partnership with Lancaster University, for example, saw us invest £190 million, replacing old housing stock with new eco-friendly student homes without any cost to the university. Both Nottingham Trent University and Leeds Metropolitan University transferred their residential estates to raise finance for core academic research. At Plymouth University UPP built accommodation and academic facilities as well as refurbishing existing stock. More information on each of these can be found on our partnership page.
