    The BREEAM Awards recognise and reward those involved in the design and construction of the highest scoring buildings certified under BREEAM that year. The 2008 BREEAM award winners were announced at the 100% Detail Exhibition in London and received their awards from Martin Townsend, Director of BREEAM.

    Secured by Design focuses on crime prevention at the design, layout and construction stages of homes and commercial premises and promotes the use of security standards for a wide range of applications and products. The Developers Award is a certificate given to building developments which, following consultation with local Crime Prevention Design Advisors, are built to conform to the SBD guidelines and so reduce the opportunity for crime.
