University Partnerships Programme (UPP) is the original and leading provider of managed university accommodation. Since 1997 we have been working with universities, providing strategic options for residential and academic facilities that support both the immediate and long-term financial objectives of the universities with which we work.
No other student accommodation provider follows our model; it is unique to the sector. Form the outset we work with the university as a partner, delivering risk-free solutions for the design, build, funding and operation of academic and residential facilities. These range from new developments through to refurbishment of existing premises and estate transfers. Our schemes are delivered at no cost to the parent institution, are off balance sheet, and at the end of the lease are handed back in good condition.
UPP is a founding member, SEED funder and member of the Committee of Management of the ANUK Code of Standards, designed to improve standards of accommodation for students.
To date UPP has invested well over £800m of private finance into the university sector.
UPP now boasts a portfolio of 17,000 rooms, with a further 4,000 in the pipeline — and we are still growing, with sufficient third party institutional investment attracted for further projects totaling around £1 billion in the next 2 years.
