University Partnerships Programme (UPP) is the trading name of the UPP Group of companies - the UK’s leading provider of managed on-campus university accommodation. The Group specialises in establishing long-term partnerships with universities to fund, develop and operate student accommodation. With more than a decade of experience, UPP delivers risk-free property solutions which are fully funded by UPP.

Our aim is to provide strategic options that allow universities to better meet their immediate and long-term financial commitments. By removing from the equation funding that would otherwise be tied to student accommodation, universities are free to invest in other facilities.

UPP’s unique business model enables us to work with universities as a full partner, delivering solutions that are financed on a non-recourse basis. These range from new build residential and academic facilities through to estate transfers and the refurbishment of existing premises.

The Group has already invested almost £1 billion in the higher education sector and, supported by Barclays Capital, we plan to invest a further £1 billion as part of our vision. UPP is a founding member of the Committee of Management of the ANUK Code of Standards, designed to improve student accommodation. The Group is also, through its market-leading Eco Residence, leading the way in the provision of sustainable student housing.
